A childishly simple poem
about us
meeting in the future.
All we have in common
I could visit you, or you me someday
And I would come empty handed
I mean really: nothing to give, nothing beautiful to say
as we have nothing in common
than that
But I’d love to share that with you
And as we go, you will probably share
your share of that as well
won’t you?
We’ll find ourselves sharing the full expression
of what that means
by doing anything, saying something else
and by being it all
as long as it fits in that silence
– but I am pretty sure it will
Yes, let’s meet real soon, knowing
there’s not a thing that we can do
than just that
as it is all we have in common
